The Beaumont Aggie Moms’ Club will award merit-based scholarships to local area students attending Texas A&M University in College Station, Galveston, or Qatar in the spring. (Local areas include Beaumont, Buna, China, Fannett, Hamshire, Kountze, Lumberton, Nome, Silsbee, Sour Lake, Vidor, and Winnie.) Students must be enrolled full-time and classified as a sophomore, junior, or senior in good standing. (Incoming freshman are not eligible to apply.) Blinn Team students may apply during their sophomore year to be applied during their junior year.
Scholarship awards are fixed amounts with distributions paid directly to Texas A&M University in two semester increments: half for the Fall Semester and half for the Spring Semester. (One semester seniors are the exception.) Established criteria are used to select the recipients based on academics, participation in student organizations and extracurricular activities, employment, internships, and other activities while at Texas A&M.
The application submission for scholarship must include of the following:
- Completed Application – completed in its entirety, including a signed Statement of Eligibility and Acknowledgement;
- Texas A&M University Transcript – a computer-generated transcript is acceptable; transcript must includes the previous fall semester grades and current spring semester schedule; and
- Essay – a 300-word essay describing how the scholarship will benefit you and how you will use your experiences and education at Texas A&M University in your life after graduation.
